Waterloo Beer Festival is back for Summer 2018
Waterloo Beer Festival returns for the 14th time at Old Christchurch, Waterloo next weekend.
Real Ale Events are once again filling the historic venue with up to 125 different real ales, perries and ciders. From Lincoln Greens Gin and Beer It … yes, a beer with gin in to a 7.4% IPA REDЯUM (It’s the glass of beer you’d give your goddamned soul for) and finishing off with the last ever tastes of Liverpool Organic, you’re in for a treat with this beer list!
The festival is running from Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th July, with five sessions to choose from.
The Martin Smith band will be filling the venue with their music, or if you’d prefer to sip your beers in peace then Friday daytime’s ‘Music-free session’ is the one for you.
The temperatures are soaring here in the North West which compliments the BBQ that will be outside serving burgers, sausages and vegetarian options. We also have Peninsula Pies and Liverpool Cake Company serving up hot, cold and sweet treats to cure the rumbling stomachs!
“Footballs coming home” is the chant we’ve heard on repeat over the last few weeks, and with that we’ll be showing the quarter finals on a big screen in the church in a separate area of the church. If football is not your thing then there’s an indoor gin garden boasting an array of unique gins, with choices from Gooseberry Gin and Elephant Gin with Summer fruit garnishes. There will also be a choice of spirits, wine and prosecco.
The festival has always attracted the local Crosby and Waterloo crowds, as well as beer aficionados from further afield. Tickets start at £5, with the entry price including your own souvenir glass and programme to take away.
Katie Jones, Events Director at Real Ale Events, said; ‘We are now in our 9th year of Waterloo Beer Festival and it just keeps growing in popularity. ‘Dan, our Beer Coordinator, has lined up plenty of old favourites alongside some new breweries and beers so there is something to tempt all tastes.’
