We’re at the Baltic Triangle for A Level Results Day 2018
It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions and celebrations at the Baltic Triangle as students from across Merseyside opened their A Level results.
We’ve been down at The Studio School and Life Sciences UTC at the Baltic Triangle this morning as students and their families flock in to collect their much anticipated A Level results. From medicine to creative media and biomechanics, students arrived with high hopes of heading off to university and apprenticeships around the country and right here in Liverpool.
Watch above as we meet the brave students willing to open their a level results on camera!
With cheers, hugs and tears of joy (and that was just our Kate) it’s safe to say the class of 2018 students at these two local schools have absolutely blitzed their exams and are now on their way to the next stage of study and a bright future.
Liverpool Life Sciences UTC Principal Ian Parry said: “It’s been a fantastic day, we’re very focused on the destinations our students are going to and you’ve seen some of the stories are just exceptional, it’s such an exciting day for all of us.
“We work closely with the University of Liverpool, which now offers busaries of £3,000 per year to those who go from the UTC to the university, in a bid to keep our best students in the city. A number of our students have a real entrepreneurial spirit and the business partners that we work closely with and the opportunities we expose them to, the students realise there’s some huge opportunities here on their door step and university isn’t always the necessary route.”
Huge congrats to all the students across the Liverpool City Region getting their A Level Results today. We hope you’re chuffed to bits, if you’re unsure of your options there’s plenty of help available online. Head to www.studentroom.co.uk or www.ucas.com for advice on your next steps.
