What’s on in Liverpool this week 18th-24th June 2018

It’s a massive week for music and sport as Liverpool welcomes all dayers, festivals and international legends to the city.

What’s on in Liverpool this week? We’ve got brand new places to eat, more events and festivals to enjoy, a film night dedicated to cats, a very special teddy bears picnic and more soul that you can shake a stiletto at! There’s FIFA World Cup and Liverpool International Tennis action, pop princess Katy Perry and DJ Trevor Nelson are back and there’s just so much cheese at Hinterlands!

Monday 18th June

Lunch at Baby E Coffee & Deli

We’re starting our week with a brand new lunch spot. Baby E Coffee & Deli just opened at The Tempest, Dale Street and serves up some serious locally sourced delicious dishes. Check out the menu and grab a coffee here.

Britney V Christina Pop Pilates, HUS

Shake up your work out with drop-in Pop Pilates at HUS, Tithebarn Street. This week the bendy soundtrack comes courtesy of Pop Royalty as Britney takes on Christina! More info here. 

Tunisia V England, Einstein Bar

England kick off their FIFA World Cup 2018 campaign against Tunisia on Monday night at 7pm and what better time to check out Concert Squares latest addition, Einstein Bier Haus to watch all the action. Details here.

Tuesday 19th June

The Big I AM, Everyman Theatre

The Big I Am continues it’s wartime story at The Everyman Theatre this Tuesday from 7:30. Teeming with characters, bursting with comedy and pulsing with live music, this is more than theatre. Tickets here. 

All the Gin, Love Thy Neighbour

The summer may have deserted us for a few days but Love Thy Neighbour, Bold Street continues the good vibes with plenty of gin, look at that! Summer in a glass. Menus and offers here. 

Steins, Brines and Good times, Salt Dog Slims

The atmosphere is always jumping at Salt Dog Slim’s, yep, even on a Tuesday night and with kick ass hot dogs, great tunes and plenty of new cocktails to sample, who needs the weekend? More info here. 


Wednesday 20th June

Breakfast with added Punch, Our Kitchen

Wednesday is our chance to pre cleanse before the weekend as the breakfast fruit bowls at Our Kitche, Bold Street, will make up for all the gin and hot dogs, we’re positive. What will you put in yours? Menus here. 

Shrek, Liverpool Empire

There’s loads of singalong family fun still to be had as Shrek The Musical continues its run at the Liverpool Empire. Turning the traditional fairy tale on it’s head with laugh out loud comedy. Tickets here. 

The Best of the Inbetweeners, 10th Anniversary

Alright bus w*nkers! The very best of The Inbewteeners is on at 81 Renshaw Street this week as Liverpool Noise and Yeah Buddy! stages another brilliant cult tv night. Tickets are just £5. Get yours here. 


Thursday 21st June

Williams BMW Liverpool International Tennis Tournament

Returning for it’s 17th edition, the Williams BMW Liverpool International Tennis Tournament kicks off four days of centre court action on Thursday. Get yourself down to Liverpool Cricket Club and see new talent alongside Wimbledon legends. Tickets here. 

Strawberries & Cream, Three Piggies

Katy Perry is back in Liverpool this week as her ‘Witness Tour’ comes to the Echo Arena for one night only. Having hosted the MTV awards at the Echo Arena back in 2008, Katy is no stranger to the city. Friday 22nd June

Film Night, Cat Café

We all know that Disney is now for adults and not kids so grab your free popcorn, blanket and drinks and snuggle down to hold aloft your favourite kitty as The Lion King kicks off film night from 8:15pm. Book here.

Liverpool Calling, Baltic Triangle

Hinterlands at Cain’s Brewery Village will come alive to the sights and delicious smells of cheese this weekend as the Independent Liverpool Cheese Fest gets underway. We’re told it’s a sell out so maybe just go hang around for free smells? Info here. 

Paul Smith, Echo Arena Auditorium

Liverpool’s own Paul Smith kicks off a series of gigs at the Echo Arena Auditorium on Saturday. The stand-up has had the city in stitches at Hot Water Comedy Club and we can’t wait to see what lies in store on his ‘Hiya Mate’ Tour. Tickets and info here. 

Return of the 80’s, The Workshop, Waterloo

The Workshop, Waterloo is taking your Saturday night back to the 80’s with a killer soundtrack that will have you up on the dance floor, twirling your beads and throwing electro pop shapes around your neon clutch bag. All the info here.
