What’s on this week in Liverpool 14th – 20th October 2019

Halloween nights out, loads of live music, LFC legends and more feature in our events run down this week in Liverpool.


This week in Liverpool we’re lining up loads of tasty treats, £5 cocktails, theatre, comedy and quiz nights. There’s also a chance to put your questions to LFC legends Bruce Grobberlaar and David Johnson at Punch Tarmey’s. Else where there’s a brand new home for Liquidation, wine and small plates in Crosby and TV’s Most Haunted comes to St George’s Hall!

Monday 14th October

National Baking Week, Pie Port Albert Dock

If you’re getting behind National Baking Week we highly recommend a trip to Pie Port at The Royal Albert Dock. Scouse pies, traditional cornish pasties and more with mash, peas and lashings of silky smooth gravy! More info here. 

Amelie The Musical, Playhouse Theatre

Based on the 5 time Oscar nominated film, Amelie The Musical is on now at the Playhouse Theatre. Follow the story of the lovable Amelie as love comes her way along with a difficult decision. A real feel good show with a beautiful soundtrack. Tix here. 

Your Brain in the Pub, Craft Taproom

Liverpool Uni’s School of Psychology is hosting a night of ranting and beer at Craft Taproom Smithdown Road on Monday from 7pm. Want to learn more about what goes on in our head? Info here. 


Tuesday 15th October

50% Off Albert Schenke, Hanover Street

Girls Dont Play Guitars, Royal Court Theatre

We’re hearing nothing but fantastic reviews about this Royal Court show. Girls Don’t Play Guitars tells the story of the first ever all female rock n roll group, The Liverbirds. Expect an amazing soundtrack of foot-stomping 60’s classics, this is a must see for all music fans. Tickets here. 

Festival of Ideas, Edge Hill University

As part of this year’s Festival of Ideas, Edge Hill Uni is hosting a week of interesting events. In Tuesday you can watch old school Flash Gordon with British film legend, Mike Hodges! See the full programme here. 


Wednesday 16th October

Taki Katei’s Japan, World Museum

The Guide Liverpool

Fancy seeing something new this week? Once a celebrated artist in Tokyo, Taki Katei (1830–1901) gets a UK first exhibition at World Museum. It’s open now and features stunning drawings and  more. Info here. 

Wine & Mediterranean Small Plates tasting, Mustard & Co

Book your spot for wine tasting and Mediterranean small plate pairings at Mustard & Co on Wednesday night from 7pm. This Crosby bistro is fanatical about local produce and fine wine so you’re in for a treat. Info here. 

Apres at Souljam, Constellations

No need to hit the slopes for Apres fun this week in Liverpool. SoulJam brings LivSnow to Constellations on Wednesday night for all your funky needs. Final release tickets are £8, get yours here. 


Thursday 17th October

Quiz Night, O’Neills

You can win a Saturday night VIP booth package and more at O’Neills at the weekly Thursday quiz. Fun kicks off at 9pm and you’ll need your phone and plenty of battery to take part. All the info here. 

CollabFest, BrewDog

Collabfest is a massive celebration of bars and breweries and this year Brewdog is getting right on it. Drop in this weekend to see whats on tap and you get to crown a winning ale too! Find out more here. 

Stand Up Comedy Night, The Philharmonic Pub

The Philharmonic Dining Room (or The Phil Pub) is hosting a night of stand up comedy on Thursday from 6pm. Expect a load of local talent, a perfectly pulled pint and fab atmosphere. More info here.

Friday 18th October

Scalloween, 24 Kitchen Street

Halloween celebrations are starting early in Liverpool. Sonic Yootha Scalloween 4 is on at 24 Kitchen Street this Friday. Expect a kick ass play list and good times. All welcome – you’ll make new mates for sure. Tickets here. 

Most Haunted Ghost Hunt, St George’s Hall

TV’s Yvette Fielding comes to Liverpool on Friday to film a very special Most Haunted at St George’s Hall. Seriously if you’re even considering doing to catacombs, cells or court room anywhere near Halloween, you’ve got balls of steel! Tickets and info here.

It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere, Red Door

This is our kind of Friday deal. Red Door is celebrating the 5pm clock off with £5 cocktails from 5pm until 9pm. The hardest thing is choosing your favourite one. See you at the bar. Info here. 


Saturday 19th October

Liverpool Tattoo Convention

Liverpool Tattoo Convention returns to the Adelphi Hotel this weekend. Expect live tattooing from over 250 tattoo artists, live music, live performances, competitions, uk tattoo awards, market stalls and more. Info here.

Absolutely Fabulous Gin Festival, The Venue

Liquidation Grand Re-opening, Phase One
