What’s On This Week in Liverpool 27th August – 1st September 2019

How are we heading into September already? We’re making the most of the last week of August this week in Liverpool.


Seriously, wasn’t it just July? With Bank Holiday weekend (what a scorcher) and Creamfields just a distant memory, we’re getting stuck into the last few days of August this week in Liverpool. We’ve got cult TV quiz nights, drag comedy, all the footy action and the first ever Fusion Presents gig at Sefton Park which brings none other than Kings of Leon to Liverpool!

There’s also brand new brunch, food markets, jazz, award-winning art, pink gin tasting, safari fun for the kids and loads more.

Tuesday 27th August

Keith Haring, Tate Liverpool

Tuesday at Tate is likely to be slightly quieter after a hugely busy bank holiday weekend. The perfect time to wander around the Keith Haring exhibition and take a trip back to the 1980’s. Art, activism, love and war. Find out more here. 

Stranger Things Pub Quiz, Ma Boyle’s

Tony Butler Tribute, District

Fusion Presents, Sefton Park

Saturday 31st August

Taste of Liverpool, Bombed Out Church

Bombed Out Church hosts an all new foodie experience on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am. Taste of Liverpool brings together a range of local bars, restaurants and producers with all food prices capped at £4 to give visitors the chance to try a bit of everything. More info here.

Sunday 1st September

Everton V Wolves, Goodison Park

The blues take on Wolves at Goodison Park on Saturday, kick off at 3pm. Will we see the home game match day atmosphere return, flags at the ready! Missed out on tickets? The Flute on Hardman Street has got your a front row seat. More info here. 

Fusion Festival, Sefton Park

Fusion Festival’s third and final day at Sefton Park is jam packed. The line up includes Little Mix, Anne Marie, Clean Bandit, Mabel, Rak Su and loads more. Children under 5 go free and there’s still some tickets available here.

Bianca Del Rio, Liverpool Empire

There’s no Sunday night blues this week in Liverpool, especially not when Bianca Del Rio comes to town. It’s Jester Joke brings Bianca to the Liverpool Empire Theatre from 7pm and the comedy queen will be in her finest voice. Expect to laugh your arse off and marvel at her outrageous tales.
