Are you ready for another jam packed week and early May bank holiday weekend in Liverpool?


We’ve got 7 whole days of amazing events lined up for you this week in Liverpool, with an unbeatable soundtrack. From Sound City to Smithdown Road, ClassicsFest, Liverpool Disco Festival, The Vamps, Fame, Childish Gambino and Going Rogue, there’s something for everyone.

Early May bank holiday gives us an extra day to pay with so we’re lined up places to eat, drink, party and have fun with the kids too. Here’s the best of what’s on this week in Liverpool …..


Monday 29th April

Burgers & Bubbles, The Elephant Woolton

We’re going straight in with the big guns on Monday! Get your chops around a juicy burger and glass of bubbly (beer or soft drink) at The Elephant in Woolton for just £10. Info here. 

Gavin & Stacey Pub Quiz, Ma Boyle’s

There’s a tidy £80 jackpot on offer for the team who knows their Nessa from their Pams and Barry Island like their back of their hand. I wont lie to you, it’s £3 entry and the fun starts at 7pm. Info here.

The Rocky Horror Show, Liverpool Empire

It’s just a jump to the left! Get yourselves down to Liverpool Empire this week as Richard O’Briens Rocky Horror Show rolls into town at Liverpool Empire for plenty of pelvic thrusting fun. A classic tale with a kick ass soundtrack. Tickets here. 


Tuesday 30th April

Spring Lunch, Stanley Bar & Grill, Titanic

There’s a fabulous new Spring menu on offer at the dockside, Stanley Bar & Grill. Located at Titanic Hotel, you can dine on the likes of cod loin, rump of lamb and shallot tart tatin with a stunning view across the water. Menus and more here. 

Ravin’ Fit, Tranmere Rovers

DJ Lee Butler and the fitness crew bring the club to the gym at Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night from 7pm. Fancy getting a sweat on to the best club tunes around, grab a ticket here. 

Out Of The Bedroom Open Mic, Leaf on Bold Street

Writers of poetry, penners of music and those who love to make others laugh! Leaf holds its ‘Out Of The Bedroom’ open mic night on Tuesday from 7pm. Show us what you’ve got. Info here.

Wednesday 1st May

Barcelona V Liverpool, The Grand

It’s just £10 entry to watch the first leg of the Champions League Semi Final on the HUGE screen at The Grand, Grand Central Hall on Wednesday night. Doors at 6pm. We love you Liverpool, we do! Tickets here. 

SoulJam Constellations

Let’s Dance! Souljam returns for a night of funk and soul under the disco ball at Constellations from 11pm on Wednesday night. Leave you ego at home and get low down and funky with classic tunes and party vibes. Tickets here. 

Pedro! At The Disco, Parr Street

If you’re into punk pop and emo tunes there’s only one place to be on Wednesday. Crazy Pedro’s, Parr Street is offering up cheap booze, tasty slices and a dedicated soundtrack all night from 9pm. Find out more here.

Thursday 2nd May

Gin Experience, Liverpool Gin Distillery

Did you know you can make your very own bottle of Liverpool Gin? Get hands on with your favourite botanicals and learn about the distilling process with a Gin Experience at Liverpool Gin Distillery, Castle Street.

RNB Thursdays, NYL Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

We’re starting our early May bank holiday weekend with classic RNB at NYL Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, North John Street on Thursday. Straight from work its cocktail o’clock with plenty old skool tunes from the 90’s and 00’s.

Love Thy Laughter Comedy Night, Hatton Garden

Thursday nights are always a giggle at Love Thy Neighbour, Hatton Garden as its weekly comedy night, Love Thy Laughter features loads of local comedians lining up to make you roar. (There might be cute dogs too). See who’s on this week here. 


Friday 3rd May

Roxy Ball Room Rainford Square Launch Night

The all new Roxy Ball Room, Rainford Square (former BHS Café next to Cavern Walks) throws open its humongous doors this week in Liverpool. Wait until you see this place! Bowling alley, mini golf, ping pong, pool tables, celebratory bevs, the lot.

Sound City 2019, Baltic Triangle

This is it, Sound City 2019 is ON! Back for its 12th year, you can see the likes of Clean Cut Kid, Louis Berry, Mabel, Shame, Confidence Man, Loyle Carner, The Magic Gang, Tea Street Band, Pizzagirl, Monks, Emily Burns and so many more perform live across venues at the Baltic, all weekend long.

ASBO Cinema, Bohemian Rhapsody, Camp & Furnace

Granby Street Market

Granby Street Market returns with tonnes of stalls from 10am on Saturday morning. Treat yourself to locally made cakes, hot food, homemade bread, cakes and chutneys, browse arts and crafts – handmade cards and jewellery, new and second hand clothing and more. Info here. 

Smithdown Road Festival

Smithdown Road Festival 2019 gets into full swing on Saturday with stages across venues on Smithdown itself and at Wavertree’s Mystery Garden. This year the festival is spanning 4 weeks, including two bank holiday weekends so head this way to get the latest announcements and see whats on where.

Paradox Reunion, Fusion Nightclub

This one is for all the old skool ravers. Fusion Nightclub is hosting a Buzz and Paradox reunion on Saturday night and you just know its going to go off! Rock to the Rhythm, Shake Your Shimmy and remember True Love Never Dies! Get your tickets here and take it back to the good old times.

 Star Wars Quiz Night, Camp & Furnace

There’s a whole load of wookie love going down at Camp & Furnace on May the 4th. The Star Wars Quiz kicks off at 6pm and we’re dying to see you all go for it in fancy dress! Will Solo and Leia turn up at the Baltic? Expect Stormtroopers at the least. Tickets here. 


Sunday 5th May

The Vamps, M&S Bank Arena

We can’t keep these lads away from Liverpool! The Vamps are back at the M&S Bank Arena. Fresh from a promo tour in the US they’re bringing their Four Corners Uk and Ireland tour to the city for one night only, still with affordable tickets for all! Is right! Tickets here. 

Liverpool Disco Festival – Jungle Boogie

Liverpool Disco Festival returns to the Baltic this weekend with a Jungle Boogie theme. Tickets for the Camp & Furnace main gig are almost a sell out (some on Skiddle here), with the likes of Melba Moore, Joey Negro and Rochelle Flemming performing live, its no wonder! Going Rogue, HUS

Making its debut at HUS, Tithebarn Street this Bank Holiday Sunday, Going Rogue showcases the very best in up and coming house music from across the city and wider UK. If you’re into the likes of CamelPhat, Michael Bibi and Jack Back, don’t miss this. Info and tickets here. 

ClassicsFest, Invisible Wind Factory

Spread across the Wind Factory, Terrace and Sub Station from 2pm – 2am on Sunday, ClassicsFest returns for its 4th annual bash with an unbelievable line up. Monday 6th May – Early Bank Holiday Monday

Dirty Dancing -Liverpool Empire

Kick start your week with a bit of Dirty Dancing as this classic story is adapted for the stage at Liverpool Empire. You know all the songs, so get yourself to the theatre and have a ball at Kellermans. Tickets here. 

Fame UK Reunion, M&S Bank Arena

For the first time in 35 years the kids from Fame are getting back together! Heading to the M&S Bank Arena on Bank holiday weekend you’ll be able to see Doris, Bruno, Danny, Holly and more along with the amazing LMA Choir perform live, just like its the 80’s. Tickets and more info here. 

Bank Holiday at Birdies Bar Summer Garden

We almost daren’t say it but the weather for bank holiday Monday is looking pretty decent. All the more reason to soak up some rays at Birdies Bar Summer Garden, now open and serving amazing street food, all the cocktails and the live music is boss too. Find out more here.

Smithdown Road Festival – Family Weekend

Teamed up with kids café Marmalade Skies and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Charity, Smithdown Road Festival brings two days of family friendly fun on the Mystery Garden (at Wavertree Playground) this weekend. Who’s up for sciencey superhero fun and crafts,, story time from Little Lamb Tales, music and craft from Mini Maestros, fun with Marmalade Skies, kids daytime disco, face painting, barbecue, ice creams and more?
