Destination Castle Street
Since the cold, dark days of January, Castle Street has blossomed into a destination all of its own. There’s a brand new branch of Indian street kitchen, Mowgli plus all day dining and nightlife at Neighbourhood and Castle Street Townhouse and in just a matter of weeks, celebrity chef, Gino D’Acampo will be opening his new restaurant and prosecco bar in the former HSBC bank. Now you might think you know your way around Liverpool One, but it too has seen some changes over the Spring. SuperDry has moved into the centre of the complex to allow JD to evolve into an ever bigger sports emporium, while Australian stationery chain, Smiggle has joined the flagship Urban Decay store on Paradise Street and a whole host of new eateries on the Hanover Street site. British Style Collective
We’re just weeks away from Europe’s biggest fashion festival hitting the streets of Liverpool for a three-day style, celeb, beauty and catwalk extravaganza, and Merseyrail can take you right to the thick of the action. Mersey River Festival
Maritime magic returns to Albert Dock on 24-25th June 2017 as Mersey River Festival takes over the world-class waterfront site to celebrate our historic ties to the sea. With events taking place for all ages including street performance, museum exhibitions, craft sessions, live music, tall ships and thundercat racing, the weekend is sure to be a memorable one. Don’t forget to check out the brilliant restaurants and bars including Smugglers Cove and Gusto at Albert and the brand new Gin N’ Juice Café bar at Mann Island. Armed Forces Day
Brand new for the city and taking place on Saturday 24th June 2017 is Armed Forces Day. This national celebration of UK servicemen and women will see the city streets and buildings light up in red, white and blue, plus a parade of more than 1000 serving members of the UK Armed Forces will set off from St George’s Hall before making its way to the waterfront for an afternoon demonstrations and a chance to check out all manner of military vehicles and machinery.
